This is a big bed!
I love this face.
Lots of things to look at!
We've also had some adventures with Everett himself. He's been congested ever since he was born, so the doctor has recommended that we use "Baby Saline" and aspirate his nose a few times a day or whenever he sounds the most congested (he loves that). We're convinced it has more to do with the fact that our heat is running a lot and we close our bedroom door at night. Everyone gets a little dried out. He doesn't sound congested during the day and has been better since we've left the bedroom door open and started using a humidifier. Also, his tear ducts were blocked. The doctor said we needed to massage his ducts several times a day. We have been doing that and they seem to be much better and may not be blocked any more. We've also been concerned about an indention in his chest. It wasn't really present when he was born, but in the last few weeks we started to notice that his little chest is a little concave sometimes, especially if he's upset and breathing really hard. The doctor said it was a mild case of pectus excavatum. Which I of course promptly looked up on the internet and scared myself. Dr. Bassett says that the cartilage in his sternum has not hardened yet and it will firm up in the next few months and should get better. It definitely doesn't bother Everett and it's not causing any medical problems. I just hope it does firm up and goes away anyway. Here's what it looks like, you may be able to see it a little in this picture...
He's still perfect, but I guess a mom will always worry.
