Father's Day!
Happy Father's Day to my wonderful husband, Jonathan! I couldn't have asked for a better father for Everett. He's our best friend and we love him (I can only speak for myself, but Everett's smile when he sees Jon says it all)! We surprised him with Braves game tickets for Saturday night. Mommy and Daddy went to the game and Everett got to stay and play with Grampa and Grama Fennell. What a game! We had great seats, 3 rows up from the outfield down the first base line, about 20 yards from the foul pole. There were two rain delays. The first one was light and we just sat through it and got soaked, but it was fun. The second one was much harder with thunder and lightening so we went for cover inside the stadium for that one. It lasted about an hour and a half or so. We were at Turner Field from 3 to about 10:30, the longest I've ever been there! At first, the score was 4 to 0, with the Rangers in the lead. Then, we came back and tied it 4-4. It went into the 10th inning, but we couldn't pull it off. Of course, my favorite part was when my man McCann hit a home run about 3 rows over our head. Jon said it was his favorite game he's ever gone to... too bad we lost. We also got to grill out with the Fennells before the game and we got to have a wonderful lunch on Sunday with Grandma Nettie. It was a great weekend and I hope Jon had an excellent first Father's Day!
